My name is Kai. I’m a 24-year-old traveler from the USA. Growing up in a Mixed Race household, exposure to other cultures has always been a part of my life. In my childhood I took several family trips to Germany to visit grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. However it wasn’t until after I graduated high school that the travel bug latched its parasitic bite into me and I fell under a case of solotravelitis. It started with a trip to France by my lonesome. Once infected, the contagion took hold of me and I haven’t looked back since.
My numerous imaginary admirers constantly ask what brought me to the travel blog game? What do I uniquely bring to the table? To be honest, I’m not that special but I guess as an introverted broke person of color traveling at a young age, my experiences may be different from others. I’m kinda weird too so I hope that helps. Idk. I just wanna flavor my posts with character and spice and hopefully entertain the masses. Please don’t take any offense to jokes or wording used in any of these posts. There’s no ill intention behind any of it. Unless, there is…

About Me
Is it weird to write this in a sort of third person pov? Anyways I love learning about different cultures and seeing exotic places. I especially like beautiful nature, amazing architecture, wonderful cities and delicious food. Art is my other main passion in life though. And I have the dream of learning a decent number of foreign languages, which oh would you look at that, just happens to fit with traveling! 😵
Shut Up
I don’t want to just flex my previous itineraries with this blog. I feel as though I have racked up a number of interesting stories and insight in general and look forward to sharing my experiences and those of the people I’ve met with others, in the hopes of integrating into a bigger community of travelers and travel oriented people. This is something I’ve had in mind since like the 1700s but haven’t had the courage to until now.
Words to Fill the Void
So between all the jokes and tomfoolery I really love traveling. It’s helped me a lot to grow as a person and I hope to be able to entertain as well as educate people like me, young, broke, shy who may not generally be into traveling. I haven’t seen every country in the world but if this all works out, I hope to see more to report on as life goes on! For everywhere I have been to and will write about, remember my perspective is coming from a young American adult so things I describe as strange or exotic generally compare to that worldview, though I would say I am much more worldly than the stereotypical American 😎
